Art For 's Bio

Art for a start operates on the premise that art and activism go hand in hand. We aim to connect good art, with good causes and good people in the city of Calgary. We do this by offering a platform to showcase new artistic talent, as well as not for profits that are making exciting headway for social good in yyc. Socially minded artists are showcased in an art show fundraiser, with proceeds going to a worthy local project. Through this initiative we hope to encourage Calgarians to cultivate a strong appreciation for two scenes that make our city vibrant. Art For A Start will encourage new relationships between artists, social activists, and actively concerned, aesthetically attuned citizens.
