Modern explorer is innovative travel show that is broadcasted on the internet live. The main mission of the show is to experience backpacking culture and share the joys of travel to viewers. The show itself is shot on cellphone cameras and is livestreamed to the Internet. The shows focuses on local people, internet availability in the developing world and the community that grows around the show.

The show is going to be groundbreaking in many ways. It will be the first live webcast that is sent straight from cellphones with a precise schedule. It will also be the first travel show that is entirely driven by community around it. Community acts as a driving force to make travelers go to places the community wants to see and do stuff that interests people.

The show consists of two crazy Finnish guys traveling around the world, carrying a carry-on sauna on their backs. That sauna is used as a place where the show is shot during travels. It is also a place in Finnish culture where most people share their thoughts and ideas, so therefore it will also be our interview studio along the way.

There is also going to be almost daily extra episodes, where 3G network is available. These extra episodes consist of travelers doing stuff the people want to see and broadcasting those live to the internet. For example seeing the chaos during Expo2010 in Shanghai or visiting beautiful waterfalls in Philippines.

Show is shot keeping in mind young people who are interested in backpacking and technology. It will help make people to understand that traveling is not just a possibility but a necessity if you want to live a happy and fulfilled life.
