My next eyecare project

It's time for me to start thinking about my next volunteer project with Third World Eye Care Society. TWECS brings donated eyeglasses overseas and provides eye exams and glasses to those who can't afford either. The costs of airfare, project fees, room and board are all borne by each volunteer. The projects generally run for 2 weeks; I use my vacation time for this. You can find more information at www.twecs.ca. So far, I've worked in Guyana, the Philippines, and Vietnam. I am hoping to join the November 2011 team to Nicaragua.
My volunteer work means so much to me. This has been my dream since high school. It's out there, working with like-minded people to help up to 500 patients a day, where I feel I'm accomplishing what I'm meant to do.
I have chosen to put my Dreambank donation towards Doctors Without Borders because they also provide much needed health care around the world.
Please do not feel obliged to make a large gift or any donation at all. I do ask that in lieu of Birthday, Christmas or any other kind of material gifts, please make my continuing dream possible.
Thank you!
Myra
