I have a penchant for computers. Always have....I love them. I am however, still using an 8 year old IBOOK that a friend gave me years ago. I cannot afford a new one. The frustrating part is that I am a huge geek...and, with the type of work that I want to do, I really require a computer that is up to date. My personal debts are too high for me to save for a computer and after this last year of my Mom and Dad both dying...I have been left with a lot on my shoulders. What is with the bed part you ask? Well, my favorite place to work on my laptop is in bed. I have been using the same old bed with old stained hand me down mattresses and the cheapest Ikea frame known to man. My dream is to have a "proper" bed with a nice headboard that isn't going to fall apart and a new, queen size mattress. I have never owned a NEW bed in my life. At 39, I think it is about time! I would need some linens for the new bed too...although I have a couple of old sets but, it would be great to have a fresh set.

While it may seem strange to ask for these things in tandem, to me it makes perfect sense. The computer and the bed are the two things that have been pushed to the bottom of my list due to many outstanding and intense life experiences in the last year. I have been struggling just to make ends meet. I have been trying to get by, get a job, stay sane after all of the life change. So, this is why I ask for these things. They are part of my dream!
