It was my mothers dream which she never realized and now it is my dream to spend a month in Kauai. Since I won't be in my room much I'm not picky about accomodations, I don't need luxury, it doesn't even need to have an ocean view. As long as its clean and near transportation its good enough for me.

I chose Kauai the Garden Isle because I want to do alot of outdoors activities. There are direct flights from Vancouver to Lihue Airport which simplifys things. I want to stay in Walua which is very near Lihue. Must see's on the island are: Walua Falls, Fern Grotto, Kauai Coconut Beach Luau, Kauai's Hindu Monastery and Kadavul Hindu Temple, possibly some hiking or horseback riding, Liko Kauai Cruises which includes snorkleing with dolphins and tour of the Napali coast, Manawaiopuna Falls in the Hanapepe Valley tour by Helicopter and some shopping.

I know I'm not asking for much but the biggest expense is the roundtrip airfare. With all the activities I want to do while I'm there I really must stay at least 4 weeks. Of course I want lots of down days reading on the beach while taking in the fresh air and sunshine. Its a once in a lifetime trip which I want to make the most of and honor my Mother with a prayer and placing a plumeria lei in the ocean.
