Riding my bike across Canada has been a long standing dream of mine. The year 2010 seems to be a propitious time to make that dream a reality. BC hosts the Olympics and I am planning on retiring. My bike trip would be an awsome marker for this major transition in my life. My own special Olympics! This is a two month adventure, July and August. The total cost of this trip will probably be close $6,000, not including my super bike which I have already purchased. I will be needing basic camping equipment: small tent, sleeping bag, Thermarest Deluxe. Plus equipment for my bike, all weather clothing etc. Airfare back from St. John's Nfld. to Vancouver. I am saving my pennies and have about 1/2 of it already set aside. You could help me by contributing to my trip rather than giving me more "stuff" for birthday or xmas gifts. I am not asking for the full amount of the cost of this trip, but any little bit will help make my dream a reality.
