There are those of you who may read this that haven't heard from me in a long time.
It is an interesting and strange, yet beautiful turn my life has taken recently. I have had the honor of studying with West African Shaman and Elder, Malidoma Some (malidoma.org) for the past two years.
I never would have imagined that meeting this teacher from West Africa would result in my feeling more deeply connected to my own jewish ancestry, spirit, and my community. I have learned much about myself on this journey and felt profound healing take place.
What I have learned, I offer back to the community through the healing work I do.
There is a journey being made to the Dagara Tribe in Burkina Faso with Malidoma this February. I'm not sure there are words to describe the deep call I have to make the journey to Africa. You can call it a pilgrimage, that may be what it is..I myself am not sure.
I know I journey there to find a part of myself that seems missing, to be of service there to those in need, and to return with offerings to my community.
Any assistance you can offer, however small, would be met with deep gratitude...
In light,
Sarai ( Corey ) Schneider
