My family and I have created a foundation to provide perpetual support to four main areas that are important to us :
- Amateur athletics
- Hungry and homeless people
- Youth athletics
- Animal welfare

To date, the donations to the foundation have come primarily from us. Going forward, we have asked family and friends to donate to the foundation rather than giving us things that we really don't need for commemerative occasions.

The mandate of our foundation is to grant 5% of the cumulative value of the funds raised plus investment returns every year to the charities that we nominate within the constraint of our four main areas of support. The fund is administered by the Bank of Nova Scotia under the Aqueduct Foundation umbrealla. Upon request, we would be happy to provide contact details to verify that this arrangement is legitimate.

Our family will continue to support our foundation. The purpose of posting this dream is twofold :
- We hope to raise additional funds to support the causes in which we believe
- More importantly, we hope that people who come across this site and have got this far in reading this posting will consider setting up their own foundations / permanent giving vehicles consistent with their own goals and aspirations.
