When Vancouver was running the referendum on hosting the Olympics, I could not vote as I lived in the suburbs. So I did what I could by running a Google AdWords campaign ($0.01 per click keywords) enticing people to "Vote Yes for 2010". I spent $20 over one week. The way I see it, I spent the first $20 on this dream already. Now I just need the next $480 (estimate).
